Getting to us

Here’s some useful information for planning your trip to Svenstorp Art Center. We are located between Stockholm and Gothenburg, in the heart of Sweden and the most convenient way to visit us is by car.

The nearest train station is in Skövde, but from there, it’s still a 30-minute drive to the center. The closest town is Götene, where you may be able to arrive to by bus and then walk 5 km or rent a bike—though we’re not aware of any bike rentals in Götene. For the easiest journey if you’re traveling from abroad, we recommend flying to Gothenburg, renting a car, and driving approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes to reach us. Or be adventurous and do a roundtrip to many of the beautiful locations in our area.

Accommodation

There are several Airbnb options and small hotels in the area. We recommend checking Hotels.com, Booking.com, or similar platforms for availability. Additionally, we suggest the Art Hotel in Skara, just a 15-minute drive from Svenstorp Art Center, or Lundsbrunns Spa, which is also conveniently located nearby.
